OK, time for a fun thread here ;D We know that Billy has asked some high profile artists to do covers of his songs for the Tribute This film and album. Why don't we turn this on its head and challenge Billy to cover some of their songs? Let's suggest our own playlists and here is mine! I do admit I don't know enough about all of the artists so while I could pick many songs from Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams, I got stuck on some others! Bon Jovi - I'll be there for you Bryan Adams - Summer of '69 Rod Stewart - First cut is the deepest Bruce Springsteen - Philadelphia Tom Petty - Don't come around here no more Aaron Neville - Errr! (no, that is not a song!) Elvis Costello - Can't stand up for falling down Huey Lewis - Stuck with you Steve Earle - Copperhead Road

Strangely enough I have a plan to record an accompanying album for Tribute This! called Tribute That! where I record one song by each of the featured artists. Some of my own choices so far are;
Elvis Costello - A Man Out Of Time Bruce Springsteen - Stolen Car Tom Petty - Even Tho Losers Steve Earle - Jerusalem Rod Stewart - You Wear It Well Bon Jovi - In These Arms
Please add your thoughts. You never know you might fix me up with an unheard classic. Cheers,
Billy

Good challenge. here's my twopenneth...
Bon Jovi - Blood On Blood (just pipped 99 In the Shade)
Bryan Adams - Summer Of 69
Rod Stewart - Gasoline Alley
Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run
Tom Petty - Free Fallin
Huey Lewis - Heart Of Rock 'n' Roll
Elvis Costello - This was really hard...I first picked Blame It On Cain, then changed to Alison, then changed to I Stand Accused and then finally ended with Shipbuilding
I didn't pick any for Aaron Neville & Steve Earle as I didn't think I knew enough about either of these guys to give them any credit. Anyone recommend any of their albums?
Cheers
Robert
