Hi I'm Steve a youth worker 36 from South Wales big Alarm fan during the 80's and 90's. The Alarm always supplied great support bands to make the shows great e.g. Faith Brothers, Wire Train etc. I loved the sound and vocals of the faith brothers.

Hi comrades. Paul me. Saw Faith Brothers b4 they were faith brothers. Name fails me. Think I saw them first in the Kings Head Fulham. Kinda new Lee Hirons and occassionally got the nod and a wink from Billy and others as a 'wet behind the ears' wedged up teenager. Merrily danced and chanted along with the group in the 80s. Got me loads of vinyl to bolster me ego (BUT me legs kicked from beneath me as I have no CDs) and can't blast vinyl out of my window as I cruise around SW London. All the best and if I can get my head round this site Ill be along to more gigs.

Hi All,
I'm Andy a doctor from the Midlands. I first came across the Faith Brothers in the mid 80's while at University. Sadly never saw the group live. Have listened to "A Human Sound" on CD on and off over the years. We have recently had to clear out our loft and I rediscovered my "Eventide LP" and a corresponding tape copy. "Easter Parade" and "Victoria Green" still seem as fresh today as 20 years ago.
Since then I have found Billy's web site and have downloaded some of his more recent stuff. All very impressive!
Sadly my 20 year old tape copy of Eventide expired the other day after many repeated plays! Does anyone know how to get this album on CD or MP3? Would be willing to pay if needed. Also I remember having a FB single with a song that I think was called "A Different Kind of Wonderful" Can't find this single anywhere. Did it exist or is it a figment of my imagination?
Anyway it's great to find Billy still active after all these years and even more amazing to find people who remember the Faith Brothers.
Andy

Hi, I'm Kerry, like most of you, loved the Bros in the 80's. Especially Easter Parade and Whistling In the Dark. Random discussion with a music fan a couple of months ago, led to internet search, the site and re-discovering that those tunes are every bit as piercing, heart warming and cool as they were the first time round. Was driven to contacting Billy to tell him, which solicited a personal response - top man! Now just waiting for the chance to drink all that good feeling in, live. Good to read all your comments.

Hi all I got into the Faith Brothers in the '80's like most of you here, saw them support The Alarm a couple of times and U2 at Milton Keynes Bowl then some London gigs like the Marquee on Wardour St. Did some surfing a few months back and found Billy mentioned on The Alarm website so Googled and was really pleased to see he is still writing brilliant songs and playing. Downloaded the FB albums (my cassettes died a while back!) and it was great to hear them again! I love the new stuff and can't wait to see Tribute This, if you havn't already checked it out go to: www.tributethis.com and watch the trailers! Hope to see you all at the gig in May! xx

Hi everyone, I've just joined so be gentle with me !! This site has brought back so many wonderful memories. Listening to Easter Parade still brings a tear to the eye even twenty odd years on. The Billy gig on May 31st sounds too good to miss, how many people are going so far ? Trust Billy will be doing a full Faith set as well as his solo stuff. So what's everyones first memory of the band ? I remember hearing the single Eventide, and buying the cassette on the strength of that, needless to say I wasn't disappointed. A gig at Brunel Uni. Uxbridge in 85 I think & first band on at Milton Keynes Bowl U2's Longest Day gig. All the best everyone....Mike

Mike, Good to hear from you.
We do play a fair selection of FB stuff, mainly our own favourites: Fulham Court, Storyteller, Stranger On Home Ground, etc.
Best wishes, Billy

Waving from Lake Tahoe in Nevada, USA!
I was an American studying abroad in London in 1985 when I went to a Faith Brothers concert. I bought everything they had on vinyl at the time, but haven't heard their incredible music in so many years. For whatever reason, I've had this insatiable urge to hear Eventide or Country of the Blind again and stumbled upon Billy's site last week. I downloaded the music and I was immediately transported to being a 19-year-old girl back in that smoky, noisy hall screaming out the words to every song.
I haven't stopped listening to the music since!
Good luck, Billy - wish I could fly over for the May 31st concert! And thank you for making your music available to your fans again. You've got to know that your impact reaches all the way across the pond.

Hello Allie, Its always amazing to me to find that people have been listening to the songs from places I would never have imagined. A couple of years ago, a guy from Cheyanne Wyoming sent me a picture taken in London in 86. magic. Thanks for your well wishes. I hope some day to come and rock Nevada! Billy
